My name is Jennifer Long, and I’m excited to step into this new chapter as the Director of Nonprofit Marketing at Novus. This role brings together my passion for human rights, my leadership experience in the nonprofit space, and my love for creative marketing campaigns, offering a meaningful opportunity to help other nonprofits reach their marketing and fundraising goals.
For over five years, I served as the Executive Director of Native Hope in Chamberlain, SD. I’m proud of the work we accomplished to address Native American injustices through education, storytelling, and resource-building. During this time, I deepened my passion for strategic communication and strengthened my belief in the power of community, connection, and compassion.
Before Native Hope, I spent 12 years at St. Joseph’s Indian School, where I led digital and direct mail marketing campaigns, ultimately serving as the Integrated Marketing Project Manager.
At the heart of everything I do is the Lakota belief in Mitakuye Oyasin—“we are all related.” This principle fuels my approach to leadership, fundraising, and marketing: helping others tell their stories, amplify their missions, and create meaningful impact.
My guiding principle connects my passion to your mission, helping you achieve success.
If you or your organization has worked with Novus in the past, thank you! And if it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us, I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to—and more importantly—what challenges you and your organization are facing during these uncertain times.
While you’re busy taking care of others, we’re here to take care of you by listening, supporting, consulting, brainstorming, creating, and—ultimately—helping you champion causes that often go overlooked.
Please say hello 👋, or grab a time on my calendar so we can catch up!
Warm regards,
Jen
